This work is made from old t-shirts, torn pantyhose and laces for the Design Contest "Reinventing Textile" by Textiel Museum in Tilburg, The Netherlands, and came on the short list. This message can be placed on the wall as a decoration or a sound panel that traps acoustical energy. The thickness of the knitted letters and the up-cycled fabric would help to reduce the noise. The application of up-cycled knitted alphabet could be extended to various interior products such as puffs, pillows, blankets, or carpets, that way the worn-out clothes can obtain a second life and fill home with a graphic art that radiates nostalgic warmth. Size: W 160cm X H 80cm.
